Plural Membership
Petiton for Plural Membership
An Ohio Mason may become a member of multiple Ohio lodges. Plural members
must maintain their membership in their primary lodge, and
have all the rights of membership, including the right to hold office.
No plural member may be Master of more than one lodge in any given
year.
The Procedure is as follows:
The Secretary of the Lodge being petitioned must receive an application (form 68: Application for Plural Membership) from the Brother who wishes to affiliate. Upon receipt of the application, it will be recorded into the records of the Lodge and a request for certificate of good standing for Plural Membership (form 67) will at that time be forwarded to the Primary Lodge's Secretary to be completed and returned.
Upon receipt of the completed form 67 and the investigation report, the Lodge may vote to receive the brother as a Plural Member. A ballot must be taken and found clear. At the instant of election, the brother becomes a Plural Member without any further ceremony.
Plural membership is reported on a special form to Grand Lodge. Payment of the Lodge's affiliation fee, or the Lodge's current annual dues, whichever is greater ($35.00), shall be made with the application; no further dues shall be payable until the next annual meeting of the Lodge.
Our Secretary will be happy to discuss the procedure to any interested Mason.
