The History of Lion Heart Lodge #673

Lion Heart Lodge, No. 673, F. & A. M., was granted a dispensation on April 25, 1921, the petition to the Grand Lodge being signed by sixty four Master Masons. A charter was granted October 20, 1921, at Cleveland, and the Lodge was constituted and consecrated October 28, 1921 at Woodward Masonic Temple, 1949 East 105th Street.

The Entered Apprentice degree was worked on the first candidate June 3, 1921, the degree being conferred by M.W. Brother Frank S. Harmon, Past Grand Master, who was the first Worshipful Master of the Lodge.

Lion Heart continued meeting at Woodward Temple for 32 years when, because of the change of population, it was decided to look for a new home, which was found in University Heights. Our last meeting in Woodward Masonic Temple was held on Dec. 17, 1954, after which we moved to our present location in the University Heights Masonic Temple, 14270 Cedar Road where we held our first stated meeting on Jan. 7, 1955.

In 1988 Lion Heart Lodge #673 merged with Heights Lodge #633 and became Heights Lion Heart Lodge #633.
